What I’ve been doing lately….

For those of you who have young athletes, you know there is no season like “the SEASON”.  Whether it’s football, basketball, cheerleading….. or for me BASEBALL- it can sometimes seem to last forever.  For the last few months, I have been up to my neck in all things baseball.  I have two little All Stars this year- on two different teams.  When one team rests, the other practices.  When one team plays… so does the other one!   These people become like family- these boys like my own.

Here is a peek into my summer….

It becomes a lifestyle.  You pack the car.  You unpack.  You wash the uniforms.  Refill water bottles.  Reapply sunscreen.  Search for lost hats…. and so it goes.  The summer rolls on.  And so do we.

These kids put so much blood, sweat and tears into this sport… any sport.  They play when it is 30 degrees and more recently when it is 95 degrees.   They are incredible to watch and more amazing to love.

“Sports do not build character.  They reveal it.” ~ John Wooden
