Long lost…

I had the opportunity this weekend to reconnect with someone I haven’t seen in a really long time….. too long.

It was just what I needed to wake up some of my senses.

I decided to try to make something beautiful instead of capturing what was in front of me….

so I wandered through some woods right in the middle of an ordinary place and found some extraordinary things…..

It was a great reminder to  ———>  Pay attention.  Look around.  See what is right in front of you…..

You never do know what is right around the bend.

And the next time someone suggests you go with them on an adventure…. out of the country or out in the woods—

take them up on it…. you never know what you might see.

I find goodbye to be the hardest word.  So if you get the chance— Hold her close.  Hug her again.  Savor the look in her eyes.

….. And hope it isn’t the last goodbye.

Those fleeting moments are the ones you think of the most.

oh my!! such a beautiful post. I know how you feel; I recently lost a friend and even though I got to say goodbye to her there was so much I really wanted to say when she would have been able to hear me (I hope she did)

That must have been a great encounter. I had a similar reconnect lately also. It was magical and “pretty good.” Words could not express how special it was. I think that is why these pics are so special. They remind me of that time and bring back that special feeling. What we are truly looking for is sometimes right in front of us if we are just patient and slow down long enough to look. Thanks for the memories. True love can be captured by pictures not words!!!!!! ;p

The pictures of the kids turned out absolutely gorgeous! You have real talent to capture my wonderful babies actually standing still, looking at the camera, and smiling! Additionally, your blog was very touching. I really loved it! It of course made me cry, I know big surprise…but a very good reminder that life is short and to take time to love, laugh, and don’t forget to enjoy the ride – even if it sometimes gets bumpy! I love you!
